Creamy Millet porridge


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tea spoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup cooked millet
  • 2 cups almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Pumpkin seeds, for topping
  • Honey for taste, along with choice of nuts topping.


METHOD

Boil almond or coconut milk in a pan and add the millets and cook it until a creamy texture is obtained, add some water if required. Add some salt for taste and cooking till your desired texture. Serve it hot or cool as preferred with honey and other toppings.

NUTRITIONAL TIP

Almond milk and coconut milk are good source of lactose free milk. Consumed in limited quantity it is a good source of healthy fats.
