Jawari Noodles (Chinese style)


INGREDIENTS

  • Jowar Noodles 250gms cooked
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup French beans, thinly shredded
  • 1 medium sliced onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Chinese cabbage thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp of oil- use sesame oil
  • 1 carrot- medium sized cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 medium green capsicum cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

METHOD

Heat oil in a pan add onion, French beans, carrot, capsicum cabbage and stir it well until it's cooked. Add the cooked jawari noodles and toss it well with the vegetables, add white pepper powder, soy sauce and vinegar to the noodles and toss it well. Remove from the pan and serve it in a serving dish, add mug bean sprout as a garnish on the top.

NUTRITIONAL TIP


Being a complex carbohydrate, jowar gets digested slowly and thus promotes gradual rise in blood sugar. This is why it is a great choice for people who suffer from diabetes and for the ones those who want to lose weight.
